EPFL BIG BAND

Founded in 2018, the EPFL Big Band brings together around twenty musicians from both Lausanne university campuses who share a passion for jazz. The ensemble aims to promote and encourage the playing of and listening to jazz, on campus and beyond. Under the direction of Samuel Urscheler, it offers a varied repertoire ranging from Gershwin standards to Count Basie classics and Brazilian rhythms.

909

Created around a shared passion for electronic music, 909 brings together a community of DJs and music lovers. The association aims to promote DJ culture and create spaces for meeting, sharing and expression around electronic music. Through its events and sets, 909 makes the campus vibrate to the rhythm of a free, creative and accessible local scene.
