Want to practise your instrument on your own? You can book a room for 1 hour per week. To best meet everyone's needs, priority will be given to instruments for which access to a dedicated room is particularly important, notably percussion and brass.

Booking conditions

  • Bookings can be made no earlier than 24 hours before the desired time.
  • A booking cannot exceed 2 consecutive hours.
  • On weekdays, the room can be booked until 6 pm at the latest.
  • If needed, it is possible to switch to "group member" status. In that case, no refund of the membership fee difference will be made.

Are you a band and want to rehearse in the music room?

Conditions for creating a group:

  • The group must have at least 2 members, including at least one EPFL student.
  • The group leader must be an EPFL student.
  • A maximum of 2 members per group have access to the room via their Camipro card. These two people are the leader and the co-leader, designated when the group is registered.

Responsibilities and payment:

  • The leader is responsible for payment on behalf of the whole group.
  • The leader is also responsible for the group in case of any nuisance or damage caused in the room.

Booking conditions:

  • The room can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance.
  • Each group can book the room for a maximum of 3 hours per week.
  • For bookings starting after 6 pm, the booking must be made in 3-hour blocks, for example 6 pm–9 pm or 9 pm–midnight.

GOOD TO KNOW

RULES OF USE

  1. Use of the room is only permitted by reservation and for people registered as members. MUSICAL accepts no liability if this rule is not respected.
  2. Eating or drinking in the room is forbidden. To keep the floor clean, please eat and drink outside, in front of the entrance. The nearest bins are also outside.
  3. When leaving, please put the key back in the key box located outside the room. Do so even if another group arrives right after you. This helps avoid problems in case keys or equipment go missing.
  4. After use, always put the equipment back in its place. Guitars, pedalboards and cables go behind the curtain; microphones and mic stands against the wall. 20 other groups also use this room: if everyone moved things around as they pleased, it would quickly become impossible to find anything!
